Lectorial – Grids and composition

I had previously made grids so I extended this by considering how elements can go across a double-page spread; landscape vs portrait; use of imagery - one image or several.

I am finding it difficult to organise the hierarchy of the content within each spread.

Based on my favourite thumbnail I mocked-up a composition in illustrator using imagery and Lorem Ipsum copy.

Preparation for next studio

• Continue experimenting with a range of stylistic approaches and compositions.
  Indicate all content (run in sourced copy).
  Once you have a spread you're happy with (which in a sense acts as a template), try to extend to the other locations.  Seek to create a consistent yet differentiated application

• Print out two strongest versions to scale.
